James is the author or editor of over 20 books. Of his 9 collections of poetry, several focus entirely on jazz, animal rights, blues, or ballet, and you can read selections from each book here. James, or Jim, is also a widely-published freelance writer, sculptor and photographer. Weve included several of his writings along with a gallery section of his sculptures and photographs.
He is also a human development consultant, trained and certified in Focusing, Graphoanalysis, and the Intensive Journal, with over 100 workshops under his belt, founder and co-publisher of Mini Mocho Press, and director of Creativity Unlimited Consulting, a service to creative individuals and groups.
James is also a frequent media guest, who spent a year as poet in residence on CBC national radio, and a frequent public speaker, a vegetarian, a Canadian, an occasional artist, and an activist for many causes.
